Maybe it's because this came from Cali, but I've never thought of candy as a status symbol.
Apparently this woman does. She posted a viral rant on a neighborhood Facebook page taking her neighbors to task for giving out what she considers low-class candy in recent years, and wants them to step it up with the top-shelf stuff this Halloween.
Quote "Dum Dums, Smarties, and Jolly Ranchers" might be okay for some other cities nearby,...We are an affluent neighborhood and this status should be reflected in our candy provisions for Halloween."
Then she suggests giving out FULL SIZE candy bars, or 6, count 'em S-I-X fun-size ones per trick-or-treater.
I LOVE Jolly Ranchers and Smarties (any sweet and sour stuff really,) so call me low class... and hand me some Spree while you're doin' it.
