Baby Not Breathing During Parade Saved By Denver Cop

A police officer in Denver is being hailed a hero for saving a baby who wasn’t breathing. During Denver’s annual National Western Stock Show Parade last week, Officer Brad Dore with the Denver Police Department was patrolling the parade route when someone ran up to him asking for help. The person told Dore that two blocks away, there was a baby who wasn’t breathing.

Dore called for an EMT and ran toward a crowd that had gathered around a woman holding a baby. The officer noticed the child was conscious, but not moving, so he sprang into action and began administering first aid. He took the baby in his hand, turned it over and started patting its back to clear its airway.

Soon the baby started crying and he held it close and took his hat off and put it on the child to keep it warm. Denver Fire and Rescue arrived moments later and Dore handed the baby off to them and returned to his patrol.
