Looking for a new gig? Queen Elizabeth is hiring. If you have experience working in social media, this might be the job for you. According to Metro, the Queen is looking for someone with "creative flair" who can maintain her "presence in the public eye and on the world stage" via the official royal social media accounts.
The new title is called Head of Digital Engagement. The role requires 37.5 hours of work per week and will pay between £45,000 and £50,000 (about $59,000 - $65,000). The job listing was shared on LinkedIn and the Royal Household website.
According to the listing, the role is all about "knowing your content will be viewed by millions." The posting also makes it seem like the role will keep the candidate quite busy. "It’s about never standing still and finding new ways to maintain The Queen’s presence in the public eye and on the world stage. This is what makes working for the Royal Household exceptional," the listing reads. "The reaction to our work is always high-profile, and so reputation and impact will be at the forefront of all you do. ‘And having your work shared around the world will be the biggest reward."
In order to run the Queen's social media accounts, candidates must also have "exemplary and compelling writing and editorial skills," as well as "experience managing social media networks for a high profile organization."
Interested parties have until December 24 to apply and interviews will take place in January 2020. Will you be applying?
