Leonardo DiCaprio Rescues Man Who Fell Off Boat

One of Leonardo DiCaprio's biggest roles was in the epic film Titanic, and it seems he learned a bit about sea rescues from the flick. That's because the actor just saved the life of a man who fell overboard.

On December 30, Leo was enjoying some time in the Caribbean with his girlfriend, Camila Morrone. They were on a boat in St. Bart's when they heard a distress call about a 24-year-old man who fell off a Club Med yacht. Even though DiCaprio's boat was nowhere near the incident, Leo diverted course to go hours away and help look for the guy. It turned out, they were the only vessel to search for him and, just before it got dark, they located the man, who was said to be minutes from drowning. He had been treading water for more than 11 hours. As if that weren't bad enough, an hour after the rescue, a huge storm hit the area where the man had been.

Since DiCaprio's crew was the only one to come help, they were the man's only chance of survival. A source told The Sun, "The captain put the man's chances of survival at one in a billion - like winning the lottery twice."
