A woman who claims to be Freddie Mercury's secret daughter is telling her story for the first time in a new biography about the iconic Queen singer titled Love, Freddie.

According to author Lesley-Ann Jones, the child, who goes by "B," was conceived unintentionally in 1976 during an affair between Mercury and the wife of a close friend. Mercury was involved in her life and visited often until his death in 1991; however, only those in his inner circle knew of her existence. "B" is now 48 years old and works as a medical professional in Europe. She's also a mother, which makes Mercury a posthumous grandfather.

When Mercury learned of the pregnancy, he started writing his life story in diaries. The singer completed 17 volumes and gifted them to "B" before he died, which she shared with Jones for the biography.

“He entrusted his collection of private notebooks to me, his only child and his next of kin, the written record of his private thoughts, memories and feelings about everything he had experienced,” “B” said in an interview with The Daily Mail. “After more than three decades of lies, speculation and distortion, it is time to let Freddie speak."

When the news broke, skeptics took to social media demanding a DNA test proving "B" is Mercury's daughter. Jones addressed the topic, writing on X: "Please rest assured that the requisite verification was obtained, legal teams have been involved, but that such measures are private & not shared publicly. Thank you."

"B" first approached Jones three years ago, and the writer admitted she was unsure of her authenticity at first. "My instinct was to doubt everything, but I am absolutely sure she is not a fantasist," she said. "No one could have faked all this. Why would she have worked with me for three-and-a half years, never demanding anything?"
