HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- UPDATE 4/29/18 @ 8:42 p.m.Huntington Police say a man is wanted in connection to attempted murder after a robbery at a business he used to work at.
Aaron Rafael Ingram, 49, of Huntington, is wanted for first degree robbery and attempted murder.
The incident happened around 8 a .m. Saturday at G.D. Ritzy's on Hal Greer Boulevard.
HPD says they believe Ingram, a former employee of the restaurant, entered the business with a knife to attempt to rob G.D. Ritzy's owner, Sidney Torlone, before he opened the restaurant.
They say Torlone was held at knifepoint until he gave Ingram items from a safe.
Investigators say Ingram hit Torlone's head several times with a blunt metal object.
Torlone suffered severe injuries to his head and was taken to the hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
According to Huntington Police, Ingram has an extensive, violent criminal history and should be considered armed and dangerous.
